“Earth and Ore #7” depicts an imagined volcanic eruption. It is no one specific volcano. Like many school-aged children, I went through a volcano phase which was nurtured by teachers and librarians. Witnessing a live volcanic eruption was one of my first recurring dreams. To this day, I marvel at volcanoes and their complex and massive displays of geothermal energy.
